The Fort Lauderdale Land & Sea Poker Run Challenge for powerboats, automobiles, hot rods and motorcycles is 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday. Organized by the Florida Powerboat Club, the event, open to all drivers and boaters, raises money for the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
Entry fee is $100 per individual or team. Cash and prizes totaling more than $10,000 will be awarded.
Participants will be given a road or waterway route with a list of restaurants where they'll stop and receive a sealed envelope with a playing card. The more places they visit -- locations range from North Miami Beach to Deerfield Beach -- the more cards they receive and the better their chances of putting together a winning poker hand.
At the conclusion of the poker run, participants will meet at the Bahia Mar Poker Run Village to turn in their best poker hands. The awards party is 9-11 p.m.
Register online at www.flpowerboat.com or at the Poker Run Village starting at noon Friday. A kickoff party and auction are 7-10 p.m. Friday.
Call 954-580-3582.
